adesso SE at PRISMA: “Collaboration within the team has increased”

27.07.2026

Consulting and IT services company adesso has moved into PRISMA. In this interview, Thomas Bayer, Head of the Frankfurt am Main office, discusses the first few weeks in the new workplace, sustainable working practices and why the building is particularly well suited to an IT company.

PRISMA: Mr Bayer, adesso completed its move to PRISMA on 15 June. What are your first impressions?

Thomas Bayer: Very positive. Our employees feel extremely comfortable at PRISMA. The move was, of course, a major step for us, but our day-to-day experience has clearly confirmed that it was the right decision. One particularly important aspect is that we now all work on the same floor. That may initially sound like a minor organisational detail, but it makes an enormous difference to collaboration.

PRISMA: What has changed as a result?

Thomas Bayer: Interaction between colleagues has increased. People run into each other more often, conversations arise more naturally and communication is no longer limited to fixed teams or scheduled meetings. This has made the office a much more communicative environment. That is particularly valuable for a company like adesso, where much of our work is project-based.

PRISMA: adesso provides 207 workstations at PRISMA for 700 employees. How has the new office been received?

Thomas Bayer: Very well. There is clearly a strong interest in coming into the office. Our meeting and conference facilities are also frequently booked. You can tell that the space works: it offers high-quality workstations as well as a wide range of options for informal interaction, meetings and collaborative work. Height-adjustable desks and standing tables also help to create a modern and comfortable working environment.

PRISMA: What role did sustainability play in the decision to choose PRISMA?

Thomas Bayer: An important one. PRISMA’s sustainability concept aligned very well with our requirements. At the same time, it was important to us to make the move itself as sustainable as possible. We were particularly impressed that, despite the complete interior refurbishment, all the doors and glazed elements from the original building could be reused. These are tangible measures that demonstrate that sustainability is not merely a concept on paper, but also plays a central role in implementation.

PRISMA: What do your employees particularly appreciate about the location?

Thomas Bayer: The excellent transport links have been very well received. Our previous office was only around 500 metres away, yet the difference is noticeable. The S-Bahn station is now just a very short walk away. That makes commuting easier and is a real advantage in everyday life. The restaurant is also extremely popular – we genuinely love it here. And, of course, many employees are already looking forward to the completion of the atrium and the opening of the gym. There is a great deal of interest in both.

PRISMA: adesso is an IT company. Are there any technical features of the building that are particularly important to you?

Thomas Bayer: Absolutely. Reliable infrastructure and modern IT systems are essential for us. At PRISMA, we benefit from highly redundant connectivity, excellent network coverage and technical infrastructure that meets very high standards overall. This provides the reliability we need for our daily work.

PRISMA: Thank you for speaking with us, Mr Bayer.
